Shennongjia is rich in tourism resources. Its ice and snow tourism resources are quite exceptional. Shennongjia International Ski Resort was built in 2004 in Shennongjia National Forest Park. This resort is the largest and most comprehensive ski resort to use a combination of both artificial and natural snow in Central China. There are beginner, intermediate, and advanced slopes. This facility features draglines, snowmobiles, skiing equipment, and much more. The reception center includes an equipment room, a coffee shop, a fast food restaurant, a wintertime equipment store, and an emergency medical services center. There is also a skiing school where beginners can hire qualified instructors.

This ski resort offers eight unique paths. This resort provides services for beginners, intermediates, and experts alike, so some of the paths are more challenging than others. Collectively, the eight routes are 4,000 meters in length. The most challenging path is for experts only and is 980 meters long. The total vertical drop is 280 meters, the maximum slope is 30°, and the average slope is 15°. For beginners, there is a 200-meter-long path with an average slope between 6° and 8°.

Shennongjia Tianyan Ski Resort uses natural snow. There are two paths for beginners and one path for intermediates. The slopes for the paths range from 5° to 15°. The slopes are not overly challenging and are quite safe; they are suitable for beginners looking to have some fun. This park can accommodate 1,200 skiers at one time.

In addition to appreciating the snow and ice and skiing, you can also ride snowmobiles, go tubing, drive bumper cars on ice, drive a dune buggy, or go snow rafting. This place offers fun for people of all ages.
