Exhibition on Zeng and Chu culture to be held in United States

The exhibition named "Phoenix Kingdoms: The Last Splendor of China's Bronze Age" will be held in mid-April at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, the United States.

As the homeland of the ancient Chu state, Hubei Province is where the majority of Chu works have been unearthed. The Hubei Provincial Museum has thus become a major hub for housing and exhibiting Chu art.

Together with the relics selected from Jingzhou Museum, Suizhou Museum and other places that reflect the abundant discoveriesof Zeng and Chu culture, the exhibition will feature 263pieces of preciousrelics.

Theexhibition offers international audiences the chance to witness unparalleled achievements in art, music, technology and design of the Zeng and Chu states, as well as distinctive styles and craftsmanship used in the production of jade, bronze, gold, lacquerand textile works.(en.hubei.gov.cn)
