On June 19, 2025, the Hubei Provincial Foreign Affairs Work Conference was held in Wuhan. Zhuge Yujie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Vice Governor Chen Ping presided over the meeting and also delivered remarks.

The meeting highlighted the following key points:

1、Uphold the Party’s leadership over foreign affairs and accurately assess the challenges and opportunities in current foreign affairs work;

2、Respond to external uncertainties with the certainty of internal efforts, ensuring that the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee regarding foreign affairs are implemented thoroughly in Hubei;

3、Focus on supporting head-of-state diplomacy and align with the “Seven Major Strategies” for building Hubei as a strategic stronghold for the rise of Central China;

4、Identify strategic entry points for cooperation with neighboring countries, continuously enhance the openness capacity of key hubs such as Ezhou Huahu International Airport, expand the global influence of Hubei’s open platforms, and improve the business environment to develop a new highland for inland opening-up;

5、Actively expand interregional exchanges and cooperation, such as international sister- city partnerships, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges, strengthen youth engagement, and foster mutual understanding among peoples;

6、Leverage the advantages of new media, enhance the effectiveness of international communication platforms, continue to tell Hubei’s story well, and present a true, multidimensional, and comprehensive image of the province;

7、Implement the overall national security concept, ensure accountability in foreign affairs, strictly observe diplomatic discipline, strengthen team development, and improve the overall level of foreign affairs work.
